At this year´s Intersolar Europe, together with the consolidated and widely deployed portfolio of mono- and polycrystalline modules, ZNSHINE SOLAR will introduce their solutions for extreme environments (such as desert and tropical areas), including a Sand and Dust module specifically designed to meet the challenges of elements and a Glass to Glass module with enhanced durability and longer lifetime.

The Sand and Dust solar module is designed specifically to be more resistant to the impact of sand and dust and is certified according to IEC 6008-2-68 Lc2 standards and represents an excellent solution for projects in desert areas as it reduces drastically the impact of elements on the module. Sand and dust can cause abrasions of the PV module´s surface, affecting the module´s irradiation absorption capacity, causing corrosion and ultimately leading to a reduction in the power generation efficiency of the module. By minimizing the impact of sand and dust, ZNSHINE SOLAR PV-modules provide a more robust solution and reliable performance even in desert areas.

The new Glass to Glass module with its enhanced durability characteristics is best deployed in extreme environments where high irradiation and severe temperature swings can induce accelerated aging of the module raw materials which in turn may severely influence the lifetime and outputs of a solar module. Featuring enhanced anti-UV and anti-PID characteristics, mechanical protection, and lower degradation, the Glass Glass module of ZNSHINE SOLAR meets the challenges of extreme environments and are expected to deliver reliable outputs over a longer period of time than standard products (expected lifetime of up to 35 years).

The manufacture warranty which is valid about 10 years as the guarantee for the performance output of 25 years are secured by international insurance agencies.

 The Stringray modules are the first module generation of ZNSHINE SOLAR and are a absolute premium product. In the manufacturing process these modules were contaminated with gallium (instead as usual with boron). The usage of Gallium leads to excellent electrical characteristics in the solar cell and to a lower degradation- the module ages slower. This results in a higher warranty for the degradation of 92 % for 10 years and 85% for 15 years (all in all 25 years). Also the manufacture guarantee is effective for 10 years.

Through the vertical integration all production steps at ZNSHINE SOLAR will be passed through from the supply of the raw material until the delivery of the completed solar modules to the customer. ZNSHINE SOLAR announces £400m solar agreement in the UK with MAP Environmental

Eschborn, Germany – June 25th, 2014: ZNSHINE SOLAR, a global manufacturer of mono- and polycrystalline photovoltaic modules, signed a 400 million £ deal with MAP Environmental on June 17th 2014 on the occasion of the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to the UK, in the presence of UK Prime Minister David Cameron and of Premier Li Keqiang.

Deals worth of £14 billion were signed on June 17th 2014 at the British Commonwealth Building, London, marking the start of a new era between Britain and China. ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental, a British organization specialized in renewable technologies, will invest together an overall £400 million in the development of solar powered projects. This corresponds to approximately 400 MW of installed capacity. The deal was approved by the UK Government and is expected to create up to 50 new jobs in design, administration and operation roles, with a further 500 new jobs in construction and maintenance at a local level.

ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental will cooperate in the field of project development, solar module delivery and offer of turnkey projects, ranging from social housing to commercial rooftop and to ground mounted projects across the UK. ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental will contribute to the investment with a 50% share each within the next two years. .

ZNSHINE success story: the biggest Swiss solar carport

One year after the implementation of the biggest solar carport in Switzerland of 785 kWp, ZNSHINE SOLAR modules have produced 720 MWh and the carport proves it is energy self-sufficient

Frankfurt am Main, 19.03.2014 – ZNSHINE SOLAR, a leading manufacturer of mono- and polycrystal- line photovoltaic modules, equipped Switzerland’s biggest solar carport with photovoltaic modules in December 2012. The project was carried out as a turnkey solution by ZNSHINE SOLAR distributor EES Jäggi-Bigler AG on a logistics centre owned by the company Galliker Transport AG in Altishofen near Lu- zern. After one year, the solar carport installation produced nearly 720 MWh in the period of December 2012 to December 2013 and is able to cover 100 % of the energy needs of the building, ensuring its self-sufficiency. The installation is especially resistant to severe weather conditions and shows an innovative integrated design.

A successful project thanks to innovation

The Galliker Transport AG company building in Altishofen was extended by an additional floor used as a parking level in 2012 sheltering around 2000 vehicles which was equipped with a state-of-the-art solar carport. The plant produced more than 720 MWh of electricity from December 2012 until December 2013; this amount corresponds to the electricity supply of about 200 households. From May 2013 to December 2013 the installation produced 544,900 kWh, with an output that exceeded by 10% the preditcted production for the period (expected energy production: 491,345 kWh).

With its 785 kWp installed capacity and a surface area of 5100 m2, the solar carport is the biggest of its kind in Switzerland and a perfect example of how economic advantages can be combined with environmental sustaina bility by means of innovation. In order to meet the challenges of weatherproofing under extreme environmental conditions, modules must meet high resilience requirements. ZNSHINE SOLAR’s modules used in the installation are both able to withstand heavy static loads up to 5400 Pa and are compliant with the standards of hail resistan ce class 3 (a mandatory HW3 requirement of the building’s insurance). An integrated rooftop installation for en hanced weather protection featuring a lightweight system was especially designed for the carport, which showed the high flexibility in the deployment of ZNSHINE SOLAR modules. The improved coverage provided to the parked vehicles allowed Galliker Transport AG to fully meet the building’s insurance requirements and therefore to reduce their insurance premium. The high efficiency of the plant ensures not only the building’s self sufficiency, but also al lows the energy produced to be directly fed into the grid. Thanks to the installation of the solar plant and the use of highly resilient modules on the roof of the carport along with an innovative structure, the challenge of pro viding enhanced coverage to the vehicles turned into so lid financial rewards by means of a sustainable solution.

Berlin, February 12th, 2014: The 4 kWp photovoltaic system donated by ZNSHINE SOLAR auctioned at the charity event Cinema for Peace Gala attended by a stellar list of celebrities: Kweku Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela, Valéry Giscard D’Estaing, ex- President of France, Uma Thurman and two members of the recently released Russian punk band Pussy Riot. The system was auctioned to a private party from Cologne, Germany.

The PV system, whose solar modules have a performance guarantee of 25 years, will allow the owner to produce sustainable, clean green energy. The PV system has an expected lifespan of over 35 years, and in that time it delivers about 140,000 kWh of sustainable electricity and reduces the owner´s energy bills by approximately 40,000 €, saving 98,000 kg of CO2 emissions.* The system will be deployed on the rooftop home of Mr. Hans-Jürgen Schäfer, Head of the Entertainment section of magazine BILD am Sonntag. The PV system will allow Mr. Schäfer to produce sustainable and clean green energy.

The actual proceeds of 7,000 Euros go to the Cinema for Peace Foundation for supporting the mission of increasing people’s awareness of humanitarian and environmental issues through cinema.

At the live auction, funds were raised through the bids offered by the audience for works of art, opportunities to spend time with Hollywood stars, memorabilia, including a priceless autographed photograph of Nelson Mandela.

The Pulse solar noise filter represents a breakthrough in significantly reducing energy loss in solar power plants and boosts their outputs by up to 30%.

Berlin, November 21st, 2013: ZNSHINE SOLAR, a leading manufacturer of mono- and polycrystalline photovoltaic modules, unveils the Pulse technology, a patented solar noise filter developed by Dr. Toru Kinjoh and his research group, which captures the energy loss in solar power plants, considerably increases the outputs of PV plants and thus reduces the costs of power generation. ZNSHINE SOLAR will be the exclusive supplier of the solar noise filter in Europe by means of a joint venture.

Solar power systems are prone to energy loss because of electromagnetic phenomena – commonly known as noise – such as those caused by the internal resistance of the solar cells and transmission channels. Dr. Kinjoh and his research group developed a solution – the solar noise filter – which not only reduces the noise within the photovoltaic system, but also increases the system´s performances. The solar noise filter is an electron accelerator working by a magnetic field, which is generated by self-exciting methods. This accelerates and structures the movement of the electrons, making the circuit work like a superconductor. Applied between modules and the inverter, the solar noise filter reduces the noise at solar cell, module and plant level, improving the energy transmission within the system, and by that it reduces module operating temperatures, which further improves the module efficiency. At its full potential, the Pulse Technology can reduce module operating temperatures by up to 15%.

    The single wafers are cut by wire saws from the silicon ingot. Thereby these can be processed further the wafers have to be cleaned and polished.     The solar cells are produced by the completed silicon wafers. For this purpose we use production lines of more notable European manufactures with which we produce solar cells of uncompromising quality and with highest degrees of efficiency.     SolarmoduleThe completed solar cells are finally obstructed to solar modules. For this purpose they will be ordered by colour (small colour nuances would be disruptive in the general view) but especially by performance. Solar cells of equal performance categories are assembled to solar modules.
